Hit the road faster with the Commander motorcycle dryer!
The original Air Force Blaster has
done nothing short of revolutionize motorcycle drying. By delivering a high
volume of dry, filtered air at a low pressure, it dries a bike faster and better
than any other method including an air compressor. The ingenious design
literally blasts water off of every hard-to-dry surface of your bike. Water is
vaporized on contact. Water spots are a thing of the past. When used with
a cleaner (like S100 Total Cycle Cleaner), it leaves your bike sparkling clean
and dry in about 5 minutes without scratching chrome, anodized or painted
surfaces.
Now, after a year of research
and development, we're proud to offer this technology at a new, low price.
Introducing the Commander Motorcycle Dryer.
Like its bigger brother, the
Commander uses a 4 HP (peak) motor but uses a single fan instead of a twin fan
internal drive. The hose was shortened from 10 ft. to 6 ft. and reduced in
diameter from 1-1/2 inches to 1-1/4 inches. Lastly, the no-scratch neoprene
nozzle was exchanged for a less expensive plastic nozzle. These very minor
compromises reduced the air output by about 3% but allowed the factory to make a
20% reduction in the cost of the dryer!

Bottom line, both are
fantastic motorcycle dryers and both come with two accessory nozzles, an
Air Streamer, for drying large areas like fairings and a Micro Nozzle for
getting into tight areas like engine fins.
I'd
like to say there was a big difference in performance but the fact is
there isn't. I think the larger Air Force Blaster dried my bike faster but
it would take multiple tests with a stopwatch to be sure. The differences
are that small. I did like the neoprene nozzle on the Air Force Blaster. I
can be spacey in my old age and there's no possibility of scratching my
bike if I accidentally hit it with the no-scratch, neoprene nozzle.
Considering the $40.00
difference, the new Commander is a fantastic value. |
